Visitor Visa (Subclass 600)
The Visitor Visa allows applicants to visit Australia for tourism purposes, to visit friends or family, or on short-term business trips. The Visitor Visa grants stays for 3, 6 or up to 12 months.

Visitor Visa requirements
In order to submit a valid Visitor Visa application, you must:
- meet the health requirement
- meet the character requirement
- have enough money to support yourself while in Australia
- only intend to stay in Australia temporarily
The Visitor Visa offers the following streams:
Tourist Stream (Apply in Australia or Apply outside Australia) – Visit friends and family, go on a cruise or extend your stay if your visa is expiring, if eligible.
Sponsored Family Stream – Visit Australia sponsored by an eligible family member
Business Visitor Stream – Visit Australia for business purposes
Approved Destination Status Stream – For citizens from some areas of China, visit Australia on a tour
Frequent Traveller Stream – For citizens of China, visit Australia on a regular basis
